Maestro Football privacy policy
How the Maestro Football app collects, uses and protects your personal information.
1. Who we are
Maestro Football ("the app") is made by Maestro Digital, run by Adam Horne in the United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our"). We are the data controller for the personal information collected through the app.
If you have any questions about this policy or your information, contact us at adam@maestrodigital.co.uk.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Sign-in details you use to create and access your account.
- Profile details, such as your name or display name and team.
- Performance data you enter, such as sprint times, scores, goals, assists, match statistics and personal records.
- Messages you send us, for example when you email us for support.
Crash reports
If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and basic usage statistics. We use these only to fix problems and improve the app. You can turn this off at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
The app does not collect your precise location, contacts, photos or health data, and does not use advertising identifiers.
3. How we use your information
- To sign you in and provide the app's features, including saving your stats and showing your progress.
- To show your stats to teammates and on leaderboards, where you take part in those features.
- To respond to support requests.
- To fix problems and improve the app.
We do not sell your personal information, use it for advertising, or track you across other companies' apps and websites.
4. Legal basis
Under UK data protection law, we process your information because it is necessary to provide the app you have chosen to use (performance of a contract), and for our legitimate interests in keeping the app working well. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
5. Where your information is stored
Your account and performance data are stored on your device. They are protected by your device's built-in security, such as your passcode, Face ID or Touch ID.
6. Who can see your information
- Other users: if you use team comparison or leaderboards, your display name and the stats included in those features are visible to other users. Your sign-in details are never shown.
- Legal reasons: we may share information if required by law.
We do not share your personal information or statistics with any other third parties without your explicit consent.
7. How long we keep it
Your information stays on your device until you delete your account in the app, or delete the app. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to help you.
8. Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, directly in the app. Deleting the app from your device also removes the data stored on it. If you need help, email adam@maestrodigital.co.uk.
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal information held about you
- have inaccurate information corrected
- have your information deleted
- object to or restrict how your information is used
- receive your information in a portable format
As your data is stored on your device, you can view, edit and delete most of it directly in the app. For anything else, email adam@maestrodigital.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
10. Children
Maestro Football is not intended for children under 13 without the involvement of a parent or guardian. If a child under 13 uses the app, for example as part of a grassroots team, a parent or guardian should set up and manage the account.
11. Security
Your data is protected by your device's security. Keeping your device up to date and protected with a passcode helps keep your information safe.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the "last updated" date. If the changes are significant, we will let you know in the app.
